Schapelle Corby - Indonesian Jail

In the movie "Blackhawk Down," helicopter pilot Michael Durant is captured by the Somalis, and U.S. helicopters flew over the city broadcasting over loudspeakers, "Michael Durant, we have not abandoned you...Michael Durant, this is the United States, we will bring you home..."

Schapelle, Australian voices want you to know we have not abandoned you.

Reaction To Verdict

"My heart aches and many tears have been shed to see such a beautiful young lady facing such harsh punishment for something she DID NOT DO! Life deals the cruelest blows to people who least deserve them and this case is no exception. After reading the many petition messages it is wonderful and heart warming to see how much support Shapelle has from her fellow Aussies and also from people all over the world. Their sentiments are exactly the way me and many of my friends, family and collegues feel. Shapelle, be strong and try to picture hundreds and thousands of people all over the world all shouting your name in support and sending you their love and best wishes. We believe in you and look forward to seeing you home with your wonderful family very soon." Tully, Western Australia

" Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." MLK Jr.

"In the interest of humanity and justice you must free this young woman. How can you possibly convict her without even reasonable proof that she placed the drugs into her surfboard case? Your convictio makes your justice system look backward and ignorant before the whole world." Carol, Unknown

"Dear Chapelle, I am thinking about you 24/7. I am praying through Jesus Christ, my Lord, that God the Father intervene. Old Testament: Daniel and his peers were put into a fiery furnace heated 7 times hotter. The only thing burned were their bonds. He (the Lord) opens the prison doors, it says. Wait for Him, Chapelle, to open the prison doors. Expect Him to do it any way He chooses. People have evil hearts but God knows the way through. Reach out your hand for Him to lead you out. Watch to see what He will do. Believe on Him." Nancy, USA

"I would like to add my name to the petition to help save Schapelle Corby from spending twenty years in prison.I believe she is innocent and deserves the right to live a free life.Schapelle, you have shown many Australians your strength and believe in a higher power. We are all praying for you and a safe journey home. You have shown your innocents by standing up for your beliefs and your family. God is on your side and from you I have learnt faith and strength.Hold on to the beli4ef that you will return home , it may be a little while longer but we are all thinking of you and doing our best to bring you home. God Bless." Leah, Australian

"How could this atrocity happen... this could be any one of us who went on holiday to Bali. I know it is not the fault of the Balinese people in general, but how can any of us take the risk of travelling there if there's a good chance of getting thrown in jail for doing nothing wrong. And the lead judge has stated that he does not answer to the people but he does answer to God. Well then, the ten commandments state that though shalt not kill, but mentions nothing of drugs. The Bali Bomber gets 2 and a half years for 202 lives lost, Schapelle gets 20 years, maybe more, for drugs
and it is not even her fault. Well done.... you are definitely doing God's work. It is your job to make sure that the innocent are freed but instead you became more concerned about appearing weak in front of your country. Well I sincerely pray for your forgiveness because you're gonna have a lot to answer to when you get to the Pearly Gates." Daniel, Australia

"Know that I pray for you each night. Australians everywhere hold you in their hearts. Be brave and strong and have faith that you will come home." Leanne, NSW

"I wish I could scoop Schapelle into my arms and bring her home.I am the mother of a daughter the same age,and it
breaks my heart that Schapelle is in such a "hole" of a place for no reason, other than being in the wrong place at
the wrong time." J, Australia

"Our Love and Compassion go to Schapelle Corby - something that Indonesian justice (not) is incapable of ever understanding. The REAL criminals here are the prosecution, the customs officers and the Judges. SHAME ON YOU; SHAME ON INDONESIA." M, Australia

"For Gods Sake and Schapelles sake we can do more to get you home sweety. Hang in there kiddo we are all fighting for you, and its not just Australians now……..be strong and it will all come together sooner than u think."Megan, Iluka, NSW, Australia

"Please add my name to the petition. I just heard about this story today May 30 and cried and cried..... what a terrible terrible thing to have to go through. Schapelle You are in our hearts and we will pray for you to have the strength to endure until you GET HOME SAFE!!!!!!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE AUSTRALIA DO SOMETHING!!!" Allison Utah United States

"This is a TERRIFYING result! It clearly seems Corby is the victim of a terrible mistake. It goes without
saying that the laws of Indonesia must be respected. And I appreciate how hard this country is on drug
offenders. But when their justice system fails to use common sense, and fails to see the situation for what
it really is, it makes it tough for me to think that myself, my friends or family would get a FAIR trial in
this country if we any of us were in a similar situation. Thus I, have a great fear of ever traveling to this country. Indonesia needs to do something about this, and regain its honor. Let me know how to help. We're with you Corby!" Steve and friends in California, U.S.A

"After reading an article today in the paper about Schapelle Corby, I started to cry just thinking about it. My heart goes out to her and her family. Don't let this young girl take the brunt of some corrupt drug cartel and spend the rest of her life in prison, or be sentenced to death for this. Unfortuantley I am not sure which is worse. I will do whatever I can to support her cause and help her. This is a complete injustice....at least let her have a fair trial. Here's hoping there is a God.." Melissa, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

"Respecting a country's sovereignty is fine but when a country convicts someone for a lengthy term without allowing all evidence that is uncivilized. It is the duty of the government of such an unfairly convicted person to sharply condemn such an uncivilized system and insist on a fair trial for it's citizen. If they don't they will soon feel the pinch of the wrath of it's people, simple as that." Ilse, Australia

"Schapelle I pray for you every night." Christine, Australia

"This story has kept me awake at night! This could be anyone of us! It is gross and depressing. She needs the whole world behind her. She is always on my mind, I feel so sorry for her. it's heart and spirit breaking." Ruport, Unknown

"My heart breaks, I keep thinking about you and you're family. FREE THIS YOUNG WOMAN !!!!!!!! I will pray for you..." Love, Germa, Veenendaal, Holland.

"May God give you and your family more strength to get through this painful and difficult time that has came to you. My family and myself we'll be praying that soon you get to joint your family and come home where you belong. Just have faith in God that he is our only hope and savior and the only person that has the power to bring you home.
with lots of love." Silvia (Australia)

"I have been following the case from day1. It makes me sick to my stomach and my heart goes out to this poor girl. It could have been me….
FREE CORBY!!!!!!!!!!!!" Justine, Italy

"Just as James Taylor said - You've got a friend.... " Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend? People can be so cold. They'll hurt you and desert you. Well, they'll take your soul if you let them, oh yeah, but don't you let them... You've got a friend" - so so many friends all thinking about you at this time." Jim, (UK)

"we just would like to let schapelle know that we are thinking of her and would urge all Australians to get behind her cause and hope that justice is done. every one get behind the day of protest on her birthday. lets make this country realise that they are wrong and need to right this wrong." regards gary and vicki, warrnambool vic.

"I can't begin to imagine the nightmare this young woman has had to endure since this situation began. But I truly believe she is like any one of us and but for the Grace of God go I. I will continue to pray for Schapelle and her family and would love to know where else to write in order to help free Schapelle." Nancy, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

"I AM A 31 YEAR OLD IRISH GIRL AND I ONLY HEARD ABOUT THIS STORY THE DAY YOU GOT SENTENCED AND I JUST COULDN’T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING, AS WITH EVERYONE ELSE MY HEART HAS GONE OUT TO YOU, YOU HAVE CONSTANTLY BEEN ON MY MIND, IF THERE WAS ANYTHING I COULD DO BELIEVE ME I WOULD DO IT, I’M NOT A RELIGIOUS PERSON BUT I HAVE PRAYED THIS WEEK FOR YOU, I HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOU GET OUT SOON (VERY SOON)…. GOD BE WITH YOU AND KEEP STRONG…. I WILL KEEP PRAYING…." Rachel, (IRELAND)

"I feel sick with anguish, disgust and deep sadness. Schapelle, I believe you are truly innocent and I don't understand why you are having to go through this. I don't know you personally, but feel that I do and it is obvious that millions of others feel the same way also. I am praying, writing to politicians, to news shows, signing petitions, anything I can do to try and help in some way. I just wish I could do more. Never before have I had such a strong gut feeling about something. Schapelle you are innocent and the truth will come out and you will be free." Melissa, Sydney xo

"If people do not stand together on this, to free this young lady then we can expect to get what apathy deserves. I am against drugs however, her own country should decide, not Indonesia where drugs are rampant and murderers go free." Mary, USA

" I want Shcapelle to know I believe she is innocent and my heart is so burdened for her that I pray for her every day. The Bible says that God can move the heart of a King so I am praying that God will move the heart of their president to see that she is released. I also pray she will be protected from evil and that God will give her extraordinary strength to endure unimaginable conditions. Jesus hears and answers our prayers. Everyone, please pray! Schapelle, keep the hope!" Barbara - U.S.A
