"This is a travesty of justice. The real cuplrits (baggage handlers in Sydney) have come forward. It's
time to let that poor girl go home. This makes me sick. Let us pray for her safe return."
Steve, Los Angeles, United States

"Befitting that Schapelle is an Australian since she is facing a kangaroo court. Aussies and Kiwis unite. No tourist dollars, No aid dollars and boycott Qantas Shame on both our governments. Please add my name." Ree, New Zealand

Schapelle Corby Petition

"I really feel for this young woman. People must stand up and fight for her, and for poor foreigners rotting unjustly in foreign prisons. Enough is enough!" Kat, USA

"Is this another way that the Muslims will see an innocent “decadent” westerner die or rot in a filthy Bali jail? Call me paranoid but this is how I see it. She was set up in Bali. After all, why won’t the Indo authorities test the evidence for its origins, where the plastic bags were made or fingerprints on the internal bag? Because it would prove her innocence and make them look corrupt. I say we forget about foreign aid for them, (we have schools in Australia full of asbestos that the govt. won’t fix), stop training the Indo military and cross them off our holiday destination list. Leave them to their own shitfight. I hope they come to their senses and see the facts. Free Schapelle!" Joanne, Australia

"I don't believe she could be dumb enough to carry drugs into Indonesia knowing beforehand that that in Indonesia means the most harsh punishments. I am Mexican and I knew it when I once traveled to Indonesia, how could a girl from a much closer country not know it? I am sure she ist innocent and someone else planted the drug in her baggage. Pleas do not commit a crime yourself by prosecuting her!" Jorge, Mexico

"Free Corby now injustices like this should not go unnoticed in the eye of any free society or otherwise. it's obviously a setup are the Indonesians to blind to see it or just have their heads too far up their asses after their tsunami." Garrett New jersey United States

"I am glad I am not an Austrialian. If she is executed, I am sure that a historical number of people will renounce thier citizenship, and YOU, Mr. Howard, will never get her blood off your hands." Tim, USA

"Human justice it's not perfect. Free Schapelle and make an act of justice for an innocent woman.
I'm a Veterinary Surgeon from Venezuela - South America. Please add my name to the legal petition for life." Ivanova, Venezuela

"It is widely accepted that the death penalty is barbarous, and has been proven to have sent many innocent people to their deaths. It is quite simply ill-informed legalised murder. It is also widely known that many innocents have been wrongly convicted of drug trafficking, by states who use this as a way of making it appear that they are doing something, when in reality, they are not. Every execution carried out proves the bancruptcy of the policy. Stop killing people...it clearly does not work." Unknown

"It would seem, that not only after the major tsunami that virtually wiped out Indonesia did the world
take offense at America's trifle aid, but then another minor group of waves also killed a few more people in that region, that the Architect of the Universe would expect those animals to take note that he means business about terrorist training going on there....pushed by George Bush & Bill Clinton, (who recently relapsed for a second heart operation).

No I'm not surprised that mongoloid animals trapped this woman, but it's a good excuse for an invasion of the islands(Indonesia) by Australia, or New Zealand..If it will help, add my name 50 times." Victor, USA

"Please add my name to the petition. The Australian government has let Schapelle down badly, and it terrifies me that this could happen to anyone. Schapelle is innocent, we all know that, surely!!!" Jemma,
Victoria, Australia

"What kind of monsters are running this country?? The punishment does NOT fit the crime. She must be released!!" Laura, Unknown

"Mr Downer should resign, John Howard must act or resign. The Australian Government should all be ashamed. The drug trade needs to be dealt with harshly. But when somebody innocent is caught up in this unwillingly, as I believe Ms. Corby to be, our government must do more. All Australians are watching Indonesia in the handling of this case and waiting for the outcome. If it is anything but immediate release, freedom, Indonesia will have to deal with a backlash, economic and more. If the government will do nothing for one of their own, the people must do it for themselves. Free Schappelle NOW." Ian, Sydney, Australia.

"How can our government just stand by and do nothing in this case? One only has to read the facts that have been already widely dispersed, and have been mentioned by others in their contribution to this petition: Who would smuggle marijuana INTO Indonesia at a loss? …Nobody else has ever been intercepted doing this. The poor handling of this case by Indonesian officia, etc. This judge has presided over 500 drug cases, by the way, NEVER finding any defendant not guilty. What does all this say about the situation? Australians must definitely boycott Indonesia in every way if Schapelle is convicted. Something MUST be done to set her free if she is (and it is almost certain she will be) found guilty. How can we be “friends” with this neighbour."Andrew, Sydney, Australia.

"Please add my name to your petition to free Schapelle Corby. I look forward to the day when she arrives back home, just please let it be very soon." Anne, Australia

"It could of happened to any of us, she has been set up the Bali nine show us what stupid people do.Schapelle does not seem that stupid." Polly, Australia

"I believe she is INNOCENT free her" Samantha, Australia

"I holidayed in Bali with my sister in October last year. A hell of a lot of indonesian people openly smoked dope on the streets. I think Schapelle is innocent and should be sent home NOW. I feel sick to the stomach when I see her on television. What she must be going through in those disgusting condtions. By the way what happened to the Bali bombers?" Tracy, Australia

"Please add me to the petition. I have followed this case and truly believe she is innocent. John COWARD step forward and do something to save this poor girl any more harm." Kylie, Sydney

"I am appalled by Mr. Howard's apathetic and 'diplomatic' response to Ms. Corby's situation. By all accounts Ms. Corby is innocent, and I accept that to be the truth however, REGARDLESS of her innocence or guilt - this punishment is RIDICULOUSLY disproportionate to the crime and would seem to me that it violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948. Both Countries are members and both have ratified the "Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment"--- Indonesia's actions undoubtedly violate this convention. If killing someone for alleged drug smuggling, in front of a firing squad does not meet the standard for "cruel, inhumane or degrading punishment", I shudder at the prospect of what would.

Rather than focusing on diplomatic ties with a Country clearly in violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Mr. Howard should stand up for the Convention his Country ratified, and his citizen who may become a victim for his failure to do so. If no leaders or countries enforce or stands up for these beliefs in the face of controversy, then the "Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhumane, or Degrading Treatment or Punishment" and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights then these treaties, declarations and conventions are not worth the paper they are printed on. Save Ms. Corby!!" Brianne, Law Student, New York City
