"I am a 26 year old women living in
Melbourne, Victoria [Australia]. Please add my name to your petition.
My heart goes out to Schapelle Corby and her family. I feel her
heartache and frustration. Please John Howard you must pardon
Ms. Corby, the consequence of her alleged actions far out-weigh
a reasonable punishment. There is so much reasonable doubt in
her prosecution, she must be given mercy. I feel that if she is
made to stay in Indonesian prison any longer, she will become
a shell of her former self and unnecessarily waste away mentally,
physically and spiritually. Please, John Howard- SAVE Schapelle
Corby." Jacqui, Noble Park, Vic, Aus.
Schapelle is innocent, why would anyone
take drugs over there when the return is apparently higher in
Australia. Is this Indonesia's way of thanking us for helping
them when they needed it? They want out tourism, our money but
its OK to falsely jail an innocent or blow them up. As for our
Government, weak sods. I wonder if it was one of your kids being
treated like this would you do more then? Australians do notice
how the Aussie Government are treated over there and the innocent
victim isn't." Glenda, Western Australia
"Support and prayers." Ann,
Australia
"I truly believe that people who are
convicted of drug offences need to be punished. But this is ridiculous!
I personally do not believe that Shappelle is guilty. It is my
gut instinct. However even if she was...the punishment would hardly
fit the crime. And I cant imagine that either death by firing
squad or life in a Bali prison are what she deserves. Please Free
Shappelle Corby!!!" Simone,Melbourne, Australia.
"Sentencing
one person to death will make no difference to the drug-traffic.
This person is NOT the core of the problem. To solve a problem
you go for the core. Free Schapelle Corby!" Andreas,
Oslo, Norway
"Why is it that when there are people
overseas who need our help, our government is willing to send
Australian people off to fix the problem, but yet, when one of
our own is in trouble, potentially being sentenced to death, that
the government seems to do nothing?
I understand that we need to respect the Indonesian policies,
but come on!!! Why aren't the Indonesian law men doing something
more to find the REAL criminals instead of trying to convict an
innocent person? Or is it simply that they don't care who they
convict, as long as they convict SOMEONE!!!
FREE Schapelle Corby!!!! Please do more to help an innocent Australian
come home!!!" Natalie,
Central Coast NSW, Australia
"Innocent! Simone., Perth, Australia
"We sincerely believe this young girl
to be the victim of ' being in the wrong place at wrong time'.
It could happen to anyone. There are enough questions unanswered
to provide reasonable doubt. Schapelle Corby should be freed.
How is a possible death sentence justified in this case when terrorists
in Indonesia get away with lighter sentences? We are praying for
you Schapelle." The Player Family, Australia
"Add me to the petition. It is patently
clear she is innocent." Chris, Australia
"Please add my name to the petition.
Marijuana is a plant." Dr. Jonathan, USA
"Please inform me on how I could help
out." Joe, California, USA
"i am tired of these injustices happening
as we look away so blindly. i pray for us... my love to you...

"I am a mum with a daughter almost
Schapelle Corbys age and this case has left me feeling that there
might not be any justice in Bali. Please consider the repercussions
of a guilty verdict for Schapelle Corby. Many persons are no doubt
putting themselves in her position and thinking "This could
have been ME!!"
I for one would permanently boycott Indonesia and would encourage
all my friends to do the same. I would not travel there, pass
through there, buy anything made there, or support Indonesia in
any way whatsoever. It would be my commitment to Schapelle Corby.
To our Government leaders - this could be YOUR child - Please
think of Schapelle as the face of all our children - or at least
try to imagine if this were your dauughter, sister, mother, friend?
If this can happen to an innocent person (and I am personally
convinced she is innocent) then there is NO reason why this cant
happen again and I would bet that it has happened in the past
and WILL happen again - and again - and again.
If Schapelle is found guilty, then there is NO JUSTICE in Indonesia."
Sue, Australia
"I am 65 and have followed schapelles
case for months.Yesterday i heard her plea for freedom,And i must
admit i had tears in my eyes. The indonesian goverment have tortured
schapelle enough. They are nothing but TERRORISTS and KILLERS.I
have cut all ties with them and will not help them or buy any
thing made in Indonesia for as long as i live.To J Howard and
the australian goverment. She is not guilty. SAVE SCHAPELLE NOW,
To schapelle We will never ever stop fighting for your freedom. To
the world lets get together and fight these vermin,Lets be strong
and powerful.Show the world what we are made of.. COME HOME SCHAPELLE
WE WAIT FOR YOU." Rex, Australia
"Free Schapelle Now! She has already
been to hell and back for a crime she did not commit. Mr Howard
should get of his Arse and do something now .What about stopping
all aide to this region and boycotting the country until she is
released." Nigel . Vic Australia
"I feel sick in the stomach that Schapelle
Corby has to endure the treatment that she is receiving and that
as an Australian Citizen she being treated as GUILTY until proven
innocent. This poor girl will be affected for life because of
this terrible situation. GUILTY BAGGAGE HANDLERS - COME FORWARD
NOW AND SAVE THIS GIRL." Monica, Brisbane Australia
"My heart goes out to Schapelle Corby,
I just pray that she will be found innocent (which she is) &
released very soon, no-one should have to go through what she
is except the ones responsible for this horrific nightmare. Hang
in there Schapelle, you have the whole of Australia behind you."
Vanessa Australia
"End this nightmare. End all this now
and see her innocence. She's just a girl, her family needs her,
let her go." Gemma, Unknown
"Max & Hayley Brightwell wish
all the very best for Schapelle Corby and hope that good news
is just around the corner." Max, Australia
"Free Schapelle Corby or lose my tourism
for life." Fiore, Australia
"It breaks my heart that Schapelle
Corby has been accused of drug smuggling. She is clearly innocent.
Her final plea to the judges on Thursday 28 April was so incredibly
heart-wrenching. Even if she is found innocent, her life has been
irrevocably changed forever. Schapelle is in my heart and my thoughts.
I truly hope justice prevails in her case. Courage, Schapelle.
I believe you will be home soon." Vive, Melbourne, Australia
"We, as Australians should boycott
Bali, don't visit their country until they free our Schapelle.
We all know she is innocent, do not holiday in Bali. Indonesia
needs our tourism. Australia make a stand." Cherie, Australia.
"International relations are at stake.
A fair trial must be held involving both Countries, or justice
will be lost." Zachary, Vancouver, Canada
"It is indeed a shocking realisation
that this could have happened to anyone of us travelling across
any border where we don't have personal control of our own bags.
All travellers of the world should unite to
challenge the airlines in their duty of care of us. Next time
you check in your bags, DEMAND to know what security is in place
to prevent unauthorised tampering with your property. We were
all led to believe that after 9/11 that security had been maximised?????.
We (and the terrorists) now know that this is not the case. Be
confronting and "in your face" with comments to all
airline staff that you encounter,
including passport controll . . . or who will be next?. . . .
write-email-talk back radio-stirr up your friends, that like you
and I, have never been stirred about anything before - bring home
Schapelle Corby." Colin Sydney, Australia
"It seems impossible to me that anybody
could believe Schapelle Corby is guilty. If you take all emotion
and politics away, as the Judges should in Bali, Schapelle is
logically and obviously innocent.
I am unsure to what extent Schapelle is
caught up in political agenda, but what I am sure of, is that
even if our Government is prepared to sit idly by and watch a
fellow Australian, Daughter and sister be falsely accused and
mistreated. The Australian public won’t accept a false conviction.
Please Schapelle, invite God to your side and trust in your fellow
country men and woman.Together we will NOT let you down.Chin up
and fight on for the truth.God Bless." Matt, Australia
"It's obvious this was a fix up. The
Judges have to open their heart. They have to think if it was
one of their daughters in her shoes right now, would you want
your daughter shot for something she genuinely didnt do!! Just
hope they see it that way!!!" Thivanka, Auckland, New
Zealand
"This is a terrible injustice. Schapelle
Corby is not being given a fair trail. And even if she were guilty,
what backwards country deems it appropriate to execute by firing
squad for carrying drugs? Which they cannot even prove beyond
a reasonable doubt? Rapists and murderers get away with less than
that!
Schapelle is an innocent 27-year-old woman
with her entire life ahead of her. Please give Schapelle a second
chance and send her home to Australia where she belongs. Schapelle
– You are in my thoughts and prayers. We will get you home!"
Karyn, USA
"this is the saddest thing in the
world. how can we trust the laws of other countries to protect
us like we hope the laws of our country would? can we afford to
trust anyone? i cant begin to imagine how broken i would be if
i were in schpelle's shoes, it has really opened my eyes. i truly
feel for this girl as if she was my sister because i know that
it just as easilly could be." nick, 19, australia
"The criminal through neglect is Quantas.
Boycott Quantas and free Schapelle immediately. However this is
a clear Indonesian declaration of hostility towards Australians
and must not be tolerated. If she were my daughter she would not
be in Indonesia any more. There are people who could get her out."
David Rivett, Western Australia
"Unless this poor innocent woman is
freed i will never ever travel to Indonesia ever ever ever beware
anybody who travels to that country." Ninetta, Griffith NSW
"The Australian government shames
us all in allowing such base treatment of one of our own, it has
an atrocious and cowardly record in this regard. If Indonesians
want to be regarded as a civilised people, then they need to bring
their justice system into the 21st century. Chapelle should never
have been charged." Brefney, Byron Bay
"This is a huge set-up, come on Indonesia,
wake up and get real, this girl is as innocent as the driven snow.
Set her free, she has gone to hell and back. If there is any morality
and justice in life - this women needs your compassion. Are you
a civilised society, or not?" Phillip, Australia
"it is long gone scene the system
can recognises Innocent people. She must be sent back!" Rob,
England
"Indonesian "justice" law
is harsh and unfair as it stands already but it is beyond harsh
and unfair when a known innocent person is prosecuted under Indonesian
law. Please add my name to this petition and let's hope &
pray that innocent Shappelle Corby is released soon."
Lorena, London, UK
"Whether guilty or innocent ... Murder
of this young woman is monstrous .... What kind of animal justice
requires this punishment. This punishment does NOT fit the crime
! The world has gone mad !! S...... an aussie Mum." Sandy,
Australia
"I find the Balinese government and
legal system a disgrace and as a keen traveller this is one country
I will never visit. I think all people should boycott this country
as a statement against their form of execution! My heart breaks
for Ms Schapelle, the whole situation is quite bizarre if you
think about it, over such a petty "crime". The Australian
government should intervene now!" Fiocca,UK
"The Australian government needs to
look closely in its own back yard - at Customs, baggage handlers,
and reality. This woman was taking a holiday, for God's sake,
not on a mission to make some money, selling drugs to Indonesians
and tourists. What has happened to common sense?" Judy
in Melbourne
"Schapelle Corby is a brave young
AUSTRALIAN she does not deserve the fate before her. Why can't
someone give her a lie detector test? Even if the evidence was
admissible in the court it may make the judges believe she is
telling the truth." Julie, Australia
"SCHAPELLES INNOCENCE THE BALI NINE
HAVE PROVEN ONE INDISPUTABLE FACT! AND THAT IS, DRUGS ARE SMUGGLED
OUT OF INDONESIA INTO AUSTRALIA ! NOT OUT OF AUSTRALIA INTO INDONESIA!
THIS PREMISE ALONE PROVES SCHAPELLE CORBY IS INNOCENT, AND SHOULD
BE RELEASED FROM THE BALI PRISON IMMEDIATELY! IF THE INDONESION
JUDGES FIND HER GUILTY AND GIVE HER A SENTENCE OF LIFE IMPRISONMENT;
IT PROVES ANOTHER FACT! AND THAT IS, THEY MUST HATE AUSTRALIANS
AND LOOK UPON US AS A SOFT TOUCH!
ALSO; IF THE JUDGES FIND HER GUILTY AND
IMPOSE A SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT ON SCHAPELLE. WE AS AUSTRALIAN
SHOULD RISE UP AND LET OUR WRATH BE KNOWN! MARCH ON THE INDONESIA
EMBASSIES AND CONSULATES, AND EVEN OUR OWN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
we must PROTEST ABOUT THE TREATMENT OF SCHAPELLE! URGE ALL TRAVEL
AGENCIES IN AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND AND THE REST OF THE WORLD TO
BLACK BAN INDONESIA!
NO MORE TRAVEL TO INDONESIA! STOP AND WITHDRAW
ALL AID FROM INDONESIA.AUSTRALIANS HAVE EMPATHY AND COMPASSION.
WE HAVE GIVEN MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN AID AND FINANCE TO INDONESIA.WE
WARN THEM! DO NOT UPSET US AUSSIES! LET THEM SEE WHAT HAPPENS
WHEN WE STOP GIVING THEM AID!
Over the long weekend I had a bench set-up
collecting signatures for a petition to free schapelle. It was
amazing the number of young people who holiday in Bali. They came
up to me and told me that cannabis is rife in Bali and it can
be bought from the Indonesian drug dealers for a dollar a bag.
So what does that say?" Arthur, Australia
"It's a shame what's going on in this
world... Lots of love and light, energy to Schapelle Corby. Do
everything you can to save this woman!!!" Manu (a nomad,
my home is wherever I am)
"Why would Schapelle Corby take marijuana
to Bali where it is said that it sells for a lot less than she
could buy it here! She has been caught up in something that she
was totally unaware of. She needs to be freed! Our hearts go out
to her." John and family - Australia
"As a former political prisoner of
a communist regime, I know exactly how it feels to be stripped
of your dignity and incarcerated in appalling conditions, tortured
and ill-treated. I once thought that I was so alone in the world
and that crying was all I could do. When the quietness of the
night came, it left me with only thoughts of home. But somewhere
deep inside each of us, is the courage to keep going no matter
what.
If I could say anything to Schapelle, then
I would say exactly what the political prisoners of Laos said
to me... "don't think too much. Don't look at the big picture.
Just look at the minutes and live through each one."
Our thoughts and prayers are with Schapelle,
her family and friends." Kay, Australia, Former political
prisoner of Laos [2000-2001]
"This is a disgrace. Ms Corby is innocent
and there are many procedures that were not followed. The Indonesian
legal system is a joke if it jails someone on the presumption
of guilt and not innocence. INNOCENT until proven GUILTY."
Anthony, Australia
"Hey Gabrielle, My name is Jackson
and I am a 17 year old student, currently School Captain and studying
Year.12, from St.Francis Xaviers College, in Hamilton, Newcastle,
NSW. I would like very much to be signed up to the petition, because
the whole Schapelle Corby case has touched my heart from the word
go. I feel every bit of sadness yet utter anger at this whole
incident and I wish to help out as much as I can, to try and bring
her home to the place she loves. She has become our patron and
a true Aussie battler, facing fear head on. She is in my prayers
everyday and I want to help her out in every way and form. Thankyou
Gaberielle." Jackson, Australia
"Please use your POWER Howard Government
to SAVE Shapelle Corby.....an innocent human being. Please show
some compassion. Schapelle; you are strong and have the support
of fellow human beings world wide...we will stay STRONG TOGETHER.and
you WILL COME HOME.xxx." Angel,Australia
"Thank you for this website. I am
an Australian, I have felt so helpless, most Australians have
in the face of this disgraceful frame-up. The Australian people
are rarely listened to by our leaders, they are very patriarchal.
This explains the need for international support. It is so encouraging
to see the international support for Schapelle. I lost 6 friends
in the Bali Bombings, then Australia lost 9 young Defence Force
medical staff in Nias (Helicopter accident) recently, assisting
that Island after the earthquake, please Indonesia, send our daughter
home to us. We don't want special concessions because we donated
one billion dollars to the Tsunami effort, we want you to have
a human heart, not a Christian, Hindu, or Muslim heart, but the
heart of a neighbour .We didn't take to heart your insults and
hostility when you were devastated, we were there no questions
asked. Believe me, as a community we are so devastated about what
is happening to Schapelle. We are devastated because so much injustice
is happening everywhere in the world, here is a chance for at
least one injustice to be redressed." Barbara, Sydney,
Australia
"DEAR SIRS; PLEASE I URGE YOU TO TAKE
IMMEDIATE STEPS TO PROTECT YOUR CITIZENS. GO SPEAK TO THEM! DO
YOU JOB . EVERYONE DESERVES TO HAVE A
FAIR TRIALSUGGEST YOU BRING HER BACK TO AUSTRALIA FOR A TRIAL.
ONLY GOD CAN SHOW YOU WHAT IS RIGHT. PLEASE PRAY ABOUT THIS.THEN
I AM
SURE YOU WILL BE ON YOUR WAY WITH A DELEGATION TO CONVINCE AND
OVERWHELM WITH GODS LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLMK WHAT U THINK
\GOD BLESS ALL AUSTRAILIANS" Gumper, Unknown
"Free Schapelle! Why is she being
treated in such a manner?? The Bali bombers had it easier...and
they are murderers and terrorists. Where is the justice? C'mon
John Howard don't be a Coward! Support Schapelle!" Jessica,
Central Coast, NSW
"Most definitely include my name in
the petition to free Schapelle. This whole affair is an absolute
disgrace and our Prime Minister should definitely be involved
in ensuring that Schapelle is freed from that rat infested jail
cell she has been endured to bear whilst she waits for three judges
to decide her fate. Where is the justice here and when is common
sense and justice going to prevail. Come on Australia, get behind
Schapelle and get that young girl out of jail. Why would any Australian
want to go over to Bali for a holiday when they are treating one
of our own so badly and unfairly. FREE SCHAPELLE AND LET HER GET
BACK TO HER LIFE HERE IN AUSTRALIA. Schapelle my thoughts and
prayers are with you as with so many of your fellow Australians.
God Bless you and I hope you are free soon. I'll keep praying."
Narelle, Brisbane, Australia.
"Come on people, let's take this one
step further. If Schapelle Corby is NOT released, we as a nation
will boycott Indonesia.Let's see how they act when they lose our
Australian dollar. I for one will
never see Indonesia. No matter what the outcome of Schapelle Corby
is. I for one, do not respect their ancient laws. They either
amend them, or we stay away." Luis Perth, Australia
"Every day I think about the torment
of this innocent girl Free her." Alexandra, Australia
"This poor girl must be traumatised
to within an inch of suicide....for the love of god, help her!
Get her the hell out of that place!" Geoff, Bondi.
"Justice must be there some where,
please don’t give up Schapelle." Anita, King Island,
Tasmania
"Schapelle, My wife & I are with
you, sweetheart.Don't let them brake your spirit.Love and prayers
for you and your Mum & Dad & family. No one has the right
take a life, and too often has the legal system failed, and it's
too late to say sorry, then." Michael, Australia
"Gabrielle, I believe in the innocence
of Schapelle. The Australian people are a gentle, loving race
however when pushed, show how hard they can play. We also believe
in justice and hopefully seeing our justice system give a fair
trial to all. The trial of Schapelle shows that she will not have
this delivered to her. The Australian Government has given the
Indonesian Government aid in the form of monetary, military and
humanitarian aid and so far we see no recognition of this fact.
Isn’t it about time Mr Downer used his polished upper-class
accent to actually do something for this girl, instead of booking
his next overseas trip.I remember as a kid the trial of Barlow
and Chambers and that has actually impacted on my life when you
look at Capital Punishment. I hope all goes well and pray that
this poor girl will land back home to an Australian reception,
one that recognizes innocence, humanity and justice for all."
Ock, Australia.
"The Australian Government must intervene
& start offering much-needed & deserved assistance to
Schapelle. My heart goes out to her & her family. I have to
say that I am rapidly losing faith in our Government. If this
was Melanie Howard I wonder if John Howard would still be sitting
there on the fence." Brooke, Sydney
"the goverment should be doing a lot
more for her release wishing her well" Chris, Australia
"I love bali and have been many times
but I will never go there again if anything happens to schapelle
corby and she is not released. I will also be encouraging all
who go there to spend our holiday dollars else where I also agree
with the stop the tsunami funds." Trish, Australia
"The imprisonment of Schapelle Corby
is a Travesty that could happen to anyone of us. I too have suffered
because of a travesty of justice that took my mother from me at
an early age.I pray that common sense will prevail here and that
Schapelle is acquitted and returned to her home and family as
soon as humanly possible (or should that be humanely possible).
God and my prayers be with you Darling, the yellow ribbons are
flying today." Dee, Australia
"Indonesia is on trial here. Schapelle
Corby is innocent. Indonesia is guilty of crimes against the innocent."
Julie, Australia
"It is really quite obvious that this
poor woman is innocent and I think it is disgraceful that who
ever is resposible will not come forward or better still the Bali
Government maybe could make an offer of amnesty(to a point) for
the person responsible. Please help free this person, Don't make
an example of her. It willonly alienate our respective countries."
Michelle, Australia
"Good morning. I am praying constantly
for Schapelle Corby. This lady is innocent. Surely there must
be someone in this world who can save her. Today she goes to court
for the final announcement. PLEASE, EVERYONE EVERYWHERE, PRAY
FOR HER TODAY." Fae, Australia
"The political phrase 'tough on crime'
should not be a substitute for thoughtful reflection or lead us
into moral blindness." Supreme Court Justice Anthony
M. Kennedy, June 23, 2004.
"Who would believe that a democratic government would pursue
for eight decades a failed policy that produced tens of millions
of victims and trillions of dollars of illicit profits for drug
dealers, cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars, increased
crime and destroyed inner cities, fostered widespread corruption
and violations of human rights - and all with no success in achieving
the stated and unattainable objective of a drug free America?"
"You can get over an addiction but you can never get over
a conviction."
Jack Cole, Retired undercover police officer" Suzanne,
Dallas, Texas
"I believe Schapelle Corby is a victim
of money hungry drug smugglers, incompetent airport and customs
personnel and nations that care more about their image, money
and power than they do about people.
If Schapelle dies in Indonesia, I, for one, will never forget
this atrocity. I will make sure that my children never visit Indonesia
and that my grandchildren never visit a country that has so little
value for human life."
Helen, Victoria, Australia
"to be convicted of simply having
drugs in her bag would be ludicrous. Every body knows that drug
dealers plant drugs in other peoples luggage all the time. If
this is their only evidence then the indonesians are guilty, not
this girl, they will answer to a higher power for their arrogance,
of this I have no doubt."
Mike, Australia
"Dear Schapelle, Im shocked after
ive read this email n im tryin to find some words just to tell
you how inhumane n unjust this is !!!!!! If you believe in God
then mark my wordz "You are gointo be with your loved onez
soon, very soon cuz Almighty is there to look after all of us
n he will neva let this criminal act happen to you. This is what
i want you to believe in with all your heart n brainz. Ive neva
been able to understand one thing that God is the one to decide
the life n death of every creature n he neva likes his job being
shared, but we always forget not to intervene n end up in a state
of disaster. We try n act n look like Almighty, alwayz forgetting
"A child can neva fit in his father's trousers" but
we try n try n try falling down on our face everytime. Remember
Schapelle, everyone has the rights n wrongs in his life, dun eva
think you are guilty cuz it's neva too late to be the same ol'
good "YOU" again. What happened to you can happen to
anyone anytime n a few people wud believe you as innocent but
they "DO" n you are innocent even if theres a single
soul believing in you. Next time you travel take good care ov
yourself n "YOUR HAND CARRY" cuz it's a world full ov
SCOUNDRELS out there looking for innocent people like you ,,,,,,,,,,,
n "me" may be. Now something for the Human rights Stalwarts;
Dears Sirs, Let the Almighty be the judge n keep the lawyers away
from deciding the fate of humans.
God Speed Scahpelle N Lemme see you happily home again."
