When Mother Teresa was asked during the Vietnam War, "Will you join our march against the war?," she replied, "No I won't, but if you have a march for peace, I'll be there."

Terror And The Smoking Gun?  The Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Terror… is this the smoking gun, the weapons of mass destruction?  News from the Associated Press states that Kuwait has busted $60 million of biochemical arms being smuggled FROM Iraq.  So what has actually transpired since President Bush’s infamous “axis of evil”, State of the Union address?  How has the terrorist networks realigned themselves around the world?  To understand what is occurring globally with the war on terror and weapons of mass destruction we have to take a bird’s eye view to have any depth of comprehension.  Be prepared though… you may be surprised at what is actually going on.  Terror a political trump card or a real threat?  You decide for yourself.

In Iraq last month the Jordanian Embassy was bombed, a car bomb kills 75  at a mosque also killing a holy leader, and the UN Headquarters was blown up.  The al-Qaida called its forces to fight the infidels in Iraq  which may explain the increase in attacks over the past month. They have blown up oil pipes, taken out the power lines to prevent electricity in Baghdad.  Even in the wake of these events and contrary to the media who have incentive to report negative findings, great strides have been put in place in Iraq far surpassing that of the Marshall Plan in Germany.  Contrary to media reports many Iraqis are thankful for the coalition toppling Sadam.  Here is a speech at the UN by the head of the Iraqi delegate thanking the coalition for liberating them

I bet the Democrat candidates are praying this breaking news isn’t true.  We will have to see how the story unfolds over the next few months once the weapons are handed over to the FBI.

KUWAIT CITY (AP)--Kuwaiti security authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle $60 million worth of chemical weapons and biological warheads from Iraq to an unnamed European country, a Kuwaiti newspaper said Wednesday.

The paper said the smugglers might have had accomplices inside Kuwait. It said Interior Minister Sheik Nawwaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah would hand over the smuggled weapons to an FBI agent at a news conference, but didn't say when.”

How about North Korea’s nuclear threat?  North Korea has just increased their threats even further.  Already in possession of at least one or potentially two nuclear weapons, they have extracted plutonium from 8000 spent rods to make perhaps 5 or 6 more nuclear weapons Remember North Korea originally signed an agreement with President Clinton promising not to develop nuclear weapons in exchange for $2 billion?  North Korea did not keep its word and went ahead and secretly built nuclear weapons.  Another unsuccessful negotiation with a rogue nation.

North Korea’s partner in crime, Iran is suspected by the international community of developing nuclear weapons when the IAEA found weapon grade uranium at two different sites.  The explanation they gave does not wash  and they are restricting access to the inspectors.    Sound familiar?  Of course Iran’s arch enemy Israel, is very afraid of a nuclear armed Iran and has discussed taking matters into their own hands threatening to blow up the facilities as they did in Iraq in 1981.  What has Bush done about this?  What is the potential fall out if a nuclear weapon is tested?  What is the solution?  Click here for very informative information on the matter.   So has the “axis of evil” secretly been developing nuclear weapons?

In Russia, the Deputy Director of Atomflot was caught selling 1.1 kilo’s of radium waste and radioactive materials.  While last month a Swedish man was caught smuggling 90 kilo’s of radioactive uranium out of Russia.   So what would happen to a nuclear weapon in the hands of a terrorist?  We saw what happened on 9/11 so I think we can take an educated guess here.  America quietly changes it relationship with Saudi Arabia as it withdraws the US military base out and asks US citizens to vacate.

In the mean time Russia and Saudi Arabia renew and sign a new oil agreement in an effort to regulate oil prices. The agreement coincidently coincided with an agreement by Saudi Arabia to assist Russia with the “Muslim extremist” state of Chechnya.   Putin had wanted the US to recognize the “rebels” as “terrorists” (and of course get assistance dealing with the problem) for years.  Cooperation with Saudi Arabia would certainly be welcome.  This is actually a big gift for the Russian’s considering much of the terrorist funding came from Saudi Arabia.  Well that is of course if the Saudi’s are not just telling the Russians what they want to hear which is the Saudi’s favorite negotiation strategy.

What is concerning about this agreement between Saudi Arabia and Russia on regulating oil prices is OPEC’s simultaneous reduction in oil output to push prices up.  OPEC can manipulate prices momentarily before fiscal incentive is given to start drilling elsewhere.  Perhaps they can, and have incentive to control a price hike until right before the Presidential election.  If you consider Russia and Venezuela are the two largest oil suppliers outside of OPEC a price regulating arrangement with Russia, leaves Venezuela which is experiencing upheaval.  Nigerian oil has been sabotaged as has Iraq which does not leave as many immediate solutions although we do have the emergency supply which will only be used in a genuine crisis. I suspect they are motivated to push the prices up to effect the US economy leading up to the elections.  President Bush Sr. lost his re-election over what was perceived as his focus on a foreign war (the Gulf War) rather than the economy and jobs at home.  It would be in the Middle East’s best interest to affect our economy to oust Bush and replace him with someone who is prepared to try and negotiate with a terrorist again.  Life must be all shook up on the terrorist front since Bush toppled their regimes, cut off much of their money and recruited assistance from around the world on the war on terror.

This news is also worry some…”Egypt released 900 members of an Islamic militant group that killed 58 tourists in 1997 and helped plot the murder of President Anwar Sadat, security sources said on Tuesday.”

Officials say these terrorist must not pose a threat now after being in jail for 5 years for murder.  So now we have reformed terrorists on the loose again.  Why did Egypt defy the international war on terror?   Where are these militants heading?  The release happened coincidently when biochemical weapons apparently where being moved through Kuwait.  This may be completely unrelated but certainly worth monitoring.  Remember it was lack of assimilating information that allowed 9/11 to occur.  Simultaneously, the Egyptian Jihad along with four other organizations including the Yemen Jihad, the Aden-Abyan Army, the Saudi Ahfad Alsahaba and the Algerian al-Jama’a al-Salafiya al-Daawa declared they have united in the global al-Qaida network.

We move onto Indonesia and Australia.  An investigation concluded that only one third of the Bali bomb actually detonated.  If the bomb had of gone off as planned at least 500 would have been killed but potentially the street block would have gone up, killing a thousand or more.  The Islamic militant JI leader lived in a home in Perth Australia.   The JI raised $200 000 from supporters in Australia. The JI is bigger than was originally estimated with an organizational structure that stimulates constant regeneration of the  organization.  The man responsible for the Indonesia McDonalds bombing was an Islamic militant from a group called Laskar Jundullah.  He received his training on explosives in the Philippines.    While he was receiving his “outsourced” training in the Philippines the Marriott Bombers were training in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In the Islamic schools the children are taught to praise and aspire to be a jihad martyr and hate the West.

Pakistan has much involvement in the terrorist world and has bought “ready to launch” missiles from North Korea.  Some questions have arisen over these missiles being exchanged for nuclear proliferation assistance.    The members of the crushed Taliban fled to Pakistan to spread their ideology.

In Bombay 51 were killed in a terrorist attack.

Meanwhile in Belgium an al- Qaida soccer player was caught in a plot to blow up a US military base.

The French, who had been benefiting with tremendous financial gain from the Oil for Food program in Iraq, have behaved much more like an enemy than an ally.  Today Polish soldiers found French missiles date 2003 in Iraq.

Al Qaida is believed to have a 15 fleet navy now.

Yes terrorism has been around for a long time, but in the past have typically just been broken groups such as the IRA in Ireland that demonstrated isolated terrorist attacks.  Terrorism today is far different to the terrorism of ten or twenty years ago.  Terrorism we are experiencing now has been State sponsored for years supplying massive amounts of money to support training, attacks, and schools to brainwash jihad terrorists.  The internet is the new tool that helps make this all very possible.

Bin Laden was/is a charismatic leader.  He was impassioned with a cause and his influence helped unite even those who did not necessarily like each other to fight against a common enemy… the US and all countries and individuals that do not practice fundamental Islamic beliefs. Osama Bin Laden united Islamic militia groups in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, America and South America.  A global campaign!

We have enemies that are collaborating such as North Korea, Pakistan and Iran who possess nuclear weapons or as in Iran’s case are under very serious suspicion.   We have enemies with nuclear weapons uniting.  Let me repeat…we have enemies with nuclear weapons uniting.  There is an unknown quantity of biological and chemical weapons which are highly likely to fall into the hands of terrorist.  We have the illegal trade of weapon grade uranium.

This all sounds like a Tom Clancy novel but remember as the economy has cycles of ups and downs so does the rise and fall of powers.  If you review history the fall of powers often occurred around the 200 mark.  Prior to the fall of power the culture is associated with being obese, decadent and promiscuous.  A sense of being invincible also pervaded many societies.  We are an educated country with access to mass media that can counteract the cycle of powers.  What we need now more than anything is the silent majority of America to make a stand, realize what we are facing and do all we can to get President Bush re-elected.  9/11 would have sounded like an unbelievable action movie the day prior.  Not paying enough attention, overacting… it is a fine line that only hind sight can answer with any confidence.  A strong hand and much change in national and foreign policy is needed still.

The information presented here is only the tip of the iceberg and does not include terrorist activity in Africa, South America, many parts of South East Asia or here on the home front.  Stayed tuned for part two of this article that addresses terrorist activity on the home front, where they have redirected efforts to get money, and what parts of our society they have infiltrated. Remember this is a compilation of sources from around the world to avoid the propaganda phenomena.  So is terrorism just a political trump card or a real and genuine threat?

 News from England.

"When even Wesley Clark is jumping on the anti-war bandwagon, you know that it's time to get off. 'Anti-war' has become a catch-all phrase for those who want to oppose Bush or Blair, or who want to score some political points without having to develop any political convictions. Being 'anti-war' has become the last refuge of the cynic."

Brendan O'Neill

"And far from taking an independent stand against US domination, Chirac, Annan and the rest merely fed off American defensiveness, like political parasites on an increasingly exposed administration."

Brendan O'Neill

"Yet the rapid shrinkage of Britain's anti-war brigade indicates that this was not a movement of people committed to a specific cause, but a collection of individuals expressing their frustration with politics and politicians."

Brendan O'Neill
